Haven`t heard that rumour, but Axl would be a horrible choice!Barney wrote:Who is going to replace Brian Johnson as the lead singer for AC/DC. Rumours are Axl Rose.....
But the rumours I`ve been seing several places is Marc Storace from Krokus. A good choice, in my view... \m/

Gotta be an Aussie hard rock voice out there to take the place for their last few years?
Lead Singer of Airbourne, slot in nicely, as their band names Angels, Chisel, Jet and ACDC as major influences
Sadly they should call it quits, Brian Johnson has been great and Back in Black the 2nd biggest all time selling album. His debut with AC/DC.
Angus the last remaining band member, and I think only sheer profits $$$ are driving the remaining 10 US concerts to be completed. AC/DC is a massive enterprise , with merchandising etc. David Mullet was on these tours recording them for another live DVD , similar to " Live at River Plate " took 3 nights of different shots and locations , each night band wore the exact same clothing etc, hope not too smelly. This Rock or Bust Live Album would be a great send off and surely reaching No 1
South America concerts yet to be decided
No matter who it might be, the media and the millions of fans will only compare it Brian and possibly Bon also.
IMO you can get away with replacing other band members, but not the lead singer ....

BBC News
Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose will replace AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson for the remainder of their latest tour, the Australian rock band has confirmed.
They postponed the Rock or Bust tour in March after Johnson, who joined AC/DC after Bon Scott's death in 1980, was told he was at risk of going deaf.
Rose will join their European and postponed North American dates, before returning to his band in the summer.
IMO nobody could have ever replaced Bonn Scott as the front man.

My jury has been out for a while and last night delivered it verdict, having watched approx 10 Youtube Clips from the latest ACDC concerts in Europe and UK, Axl with his moonboot on
Verdict - crap
Positive comment, Chris Slade ( ex drummer for Manfred Man - Aardvark will remember lol ) was dynamic and certainly an inspiration for the band, but Axl doesn't do it.
Yes the crowds enjoyed the concerts, as the music hasn't changed just how its delivered vocally.
Brian Johnson, has also stated, his ENT Clinician has approved a new device for him and he cant wait to get back again.
AC/DC - RIP

It WAS a Long way to The Top Arjarn
Every tour they produce a DVD concert from one of the selected venues
Wonder if they choose to add Axl or just do one of the concerts that Brian featured in ( Hope so )
