Dean at Papafarangs

Post by tamada » April 23, 2024, 5:29 pm

I heard that Dean was taken to hospital by ambulance this afternoon. That's all the information I have.

If anyone has any information, especially which hospital, it would be appreciated.

Hernia that became incarcerated, couldn't even stand up. After 3 hour it managed to go back. Got to go back tomorrow as needed operating on weeks ago.

Good Luck Dean,
Had my Inguinal done a few months ago, I requested a General Anesthetic rather than Epidural, did'nt like the idea of needles poking around near my Spinal Chord.
Happy to say all good now and painless Op.
If I had'nt requested they would have proceded with the epidural.

Good luck Dean, let's hope this is the last health related disruption and you get back to full blown good health very soon. Might be hard for solids given your throat issues, but I think we can enjoy a few Changs together without difficulty, catch up soon mate.

Hi Dean,

I had a double hernia to the goin done 10 years back and was walking be it slowly a day later. Think the operation took just over an hour. I was also under General Anesthetic, which I prefer.

No problem since, so I hope the operation all goes well for you too.

Can someone tell me what they do with an iguanal (groin) hernia these days here in Thailand? Been reading about a synthetic gause they use to patch the stomach wall but there have been problems if it moves.

Dean, can you tell us which clinic you are using?

Its a mesh.I have it both sides. 3 years now seems no problem. But I see some people have issues later.

Doctor said they last around 10 years before need doing again. Depending on basically avoiding heavy lifting. Fed up with it, spent a year laid out recovering and now this to deal with.

Apparently a "Repair "Inquinal hernia mesh OP is a difficult proceedure!
As the mesh blends in with the skin,a matter forms, like cement.
The surrounding area, where the incisions were made are scarred.
Apparently they cant use that area as the skin wont knit together

Hi Dean, are you still able to hold court of a day and sup Tetley's Smooth Ale?

Asking for a friend (my wife wants me out of the house).
